GBPUSD: Cable Remains Volatile, Outlook Seems Uncertain
The Sterling had a volatile week and zig-zagged up and down, but it looks like it will end the week slightly lower. It was trading at 0.15% weaker on Friday, at around 1.3060.
The GBPUSD pair is now testing this week's lows at 1.3060 and, if these are broken, further deterioration toward the psychological level of 1.30 might occur. Bearish pressure seems to be mounting and therefore, there could be good chances that cable will decline below 1.3060 soon.
If the price manages to rise beyond 1.31, we could see a relief rally back to the 1.3150 area.
The RSI indicator is slowly fading to 30, which suggests the Pound is being oversold. This might result in a bullish move, but first the breakdown below 1.3060 appears likely, in order to hit the stop-losses of long positions.
