USD/JPY pair remains below MA (200) H1
On Friday, the USD/JPY pair mostly rose from a monthly low of 155.00 to 156.40. Today, the pair started trading with a decrease from 156.60 to 155.70, having lost some of the positions gained on Friday. On the hourly chart, USD/JPY remains below the MA (200) H1 moving average line (157.20), but above the MA 200 H4 (155.10) on the four-hour chart. Based on the above, it is probably worth sticking to the northern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains above the MA 200 H4, it is necessary to look for entry points to buy at the end of the correction.
Resistance levels are at: 156.55, 157.20, 158.20
Support levels are at: 155.70, 155.00, 154.45
The main scenario for the pair's advance implies a breakout of the session high of 156.55, an increase to MA (200) H1 (157.20) and then, perhaps, to 158.20 (Jan 14 high)
An alternative scenario suggests a decline to the session low of 155.70, followed by a likely fall to 155.00 (Jan 17 low)
