GBP/USD declines and tests the support of MA (200) H1
Today, the GBP/USD pair is mainly declining from 1.2350 to 1.2130 and is testing the strength of the MA (200) H1 moving average line (1.2230) on the hourly chart. The pair lost most of its gains yesterday, after rising to a 10-day high. On the four-hour chart, the pair is trading below MA (200) H4 (1.2505). Based on the above, it is probably worth following the southern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains below the MA 200 H4, it is necessary to look for entry points to sell. Technically speaking, the 1.2160 support can keep GBP/USD from declining. If this level is passed, the pair may fall to 1.2100. The upper limit of 1.2350 represents a strong resistance level.
Resistance levels are: 1.2350, 1.2495, 1.2580
Support levels are: 1.2130, 1.2160, 1.2100
The main scenario for the pair's advance assumes a breakout of the support of MA (200) H1 (1.2230) and there may be a decline to 1.2160 (Jan 17-20 low)
An alternative scenario implies an increase to 1.2350 (Jan 20 high, session maximum) and then, maybe, to 1.2495 (Jan 8 high)
