USD/CAD pair remains below MA (200) H1 for now
Yesterday, the USD/CAD pair traded in a wide range in different directions: since the beginning of trading, it has grown from 1.4290 to a 5-year high of 1.4515, but during the session it declined and closed American trading near the price of 1.4310. Today, the pair started trading in the range of 1.4320-55, slightly above the closing level of yesterday's session. On the hourly chart, the pair remains slightly below the MA (200) H1 moving average line (1.4390) and on the four-hour chart, the MA 200 H4 (1.4320) is being tested. Based on the above, it is probably worth sticking to the northern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains above the MA 200 H4, it is necessary to look for entry points to buy.
Resistance levels are at: 1.4390, 1.4455, 1.4515
Support levels are at: 1.4310, 1.4260, 1.4210
The main scenario for the pair's progress suggests a breakout of MA (200) H1 (1.4390), an increase to 1.4455 (high of the American session on Jan 21) and then maybe to 1.4515 (Jan 21 high).
An alternative scenario implies a decline to 1.4310 (low of the American session on Jan 21) and then maybe to 1.4260 (Jan 20 low).
