USD/JPY tests MA (200) H1
Today, since the beginning of trading, the USD/JPY pair rose from 154.80 to 155.90, but soon declined to 154.30. On the hourly chart, the pair is testing the moving average line of MA (200) H1 (155.40) and on the four-hour chart below MA (200) H4 (156.40). Based on the above, it is probably worth following the southern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains below the MA 200 H4, it is necessary to look for entry points to sell. Technically speaking, the resistance of 156.00 has kept USD/JPY from further growth so far. If this level is breached, the pair may rise to 156.75. The lower limit of 153.70 represents a strong support level.
Resistance levels are: 155.90-156.00, 156.75, 158.20
Support levels are: 153.70-90, 153.15, 151.80
The main scenario for the pair's advance implies a breakout of the support of 153.70-90 (Jan 27 and 30-31 lows) and there may be a decline to 153.15 (Dec 17 low)
The alternative scenario assumes resistance levels of 155.90-156.00 (Jan 28 high, session maximum) and there may be an increase to 156.75 (Jan 23 high)
