GBP/USD remains below MA (200) H1
There is a predominantly downward trend on the hourly chart of GBP/USD. The price remains below the MA (200) H1 moving average, which indicates the dominance of sellers. After an unsuccessful attempt to gain a foothold above the 1.3360 level and the moving average, the pair turned sharply down and updated the local low around 1.3210, from which a short-term upward rebound is currently observed. The MACD indicator forms a positive histogram, which indicates the recovery of the upward momentum after a strong bearish wave. However, the value of the histogram remains moderate, and the reversal signals are still inconclusive, which makes the current growth a potential correction within the overall downtrend.
Resistance levels are: 1.3320, 1.3360, 1.3405
Support levels are: 1.3200-10, 1.3125, 1.3030
The main scenario for the pair's advance suggests a breakout of 1.3200-10 (April 17 low, session low) and there may be a decline to 1.3125 (low of the US session on April 14).
An alternative scenario implies a breakout of MA (200) H1 (1.3320) and there may be an increase to 1.3360 (May 8 high)
