USD/JPY shows steady decline
Today, on the hourly chart, USD/JPY is showing a steady decline after reaching a maximum of about 148.70, which is accompanied by a breakdown of the MA (200) H1 moving average from top to bottom and confirms the change of the short-term trend to a downward one. The MACD indicator is in the negative zone and maintains a downward momentum, which signals the predominance of bearish sentiment. Corrective growth attempts to remain limited, and only a return above 146.10 and the moving average may indicate a possible easing of selling pressure. So far, this has not happened, the risks of further decline remain relevant against the background of the weakness of the dollar and the general downward momentum.
Resistance levels are: 146.10, 147.65, 148.70
Support levels are: 144.65, 143.45, 142.35
The main scenario for the pair's advance suggests a breakout of the session low of 144.65 and a possible decline to 143.45 (May 8 low)
