NZD/USD is trading in a downtrend
On the hourly chart, the NZD/USD pair is trading in a downtrend, remaining below the MA (200) H1 moving average, which confirms the dominance of bearish sentiment. After the breakdown of support around 0.6010, the price gained a foothold below this level and tested it several times from the bottom up, failing to overcome it. This reinforces the importance of this zone as a resistance. The nearest support is at 0.5960, and it is this area that the pair may strive for in the event of renewed pressure from sellers. The MACD indicator shows negative values, despite an attempt to turn up, which indicates continued bearish pressure. The overall technical picture remains negative, and in the absence of a confident breakdown of the 0.6009 level downwards, a downward movement towards 0.5960 may continue. The appearance of a divergence on the MACD may signal temporary consolidation or a corrective pullback.
