GBP/USD is trading near a 10-day high
Yesterday, the GBP/USD pair traded in different directions: it fell from a 10-day high of 1.2350 to 1.2230, but during the American session it rose again to 1.0360, regaining all the lost positions. Today, GBP/USD started trading in the range of 1.2325-60, near the closing level of yesterday's session. On the hourly chart, GBP/USD has risen above the MA (200) H1 (1.2230) moving average line, but remains below MA (200) H4 (1.2500) on the four-hour chart. Based on the above, it is probably worth following the southern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains below the MA 200 H4, it is necessary to look for entry points to sell at the end of the correction.
Resistance levels are at: 1.2360, 1.2500, 1.2575
Support levels are at: 1.2230, 1.2160, 1.2100
The main scenario for the pair's advance assumes a breakout of the support 1.2230 (Jan 21 low, MA (200) H1) and there may be a decline to 1.2160 (Jan 17-20 low)
An alternative scenario implies a breakout of the resistance 1.2360 (Jan 21 high, session high) and there may be an increase to 1.2500 (Jan 8 high)
