GBP/USD drops to almost 9-month low
Today, the GBP/USD pair declined from 1.2500 to 1.2325, pushing off from the MA (200) H1 moving average line and reaching an almost 9-month low. On the four-hour chart, the pair remains below MA (200) H4 (1.2615). Based on the above, it is probably worth following the southern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains below the MA 200 H1, it is necessary to look for entry points to sell at the end of the correction. Technically speaking, the 1.2325 support may keep the GBP/USD from falling further. If this level is passed, the pair may fall to 1.2300. The upper limit of 1.2615 represents a strong resistance level.
Resistance levels are: 1.2500, 1.2575, 1.2610-15
Support levels are: 1.2325, 1.2300, 1.2260
The main scenario for the pair's advance suggests a breakout of the session low of 1.2325 and there may be a decline to 1.2300 (April 22’ 2024 low).
The alternative scenario implies an increase to the session high and MA (200) H1 (1.2500) and there may be an increase to 1.2575 (Jan 7 high)
