AUD/USD dropped to a new multi-year low
On Friday, the AUD/USD pair was trading down from 0.6205 to the closing level of 0.6140. Today, the pair continued to decline and dropped to a new multi-year low of 0.6130. On the hourly chart, AUD/USD dropped below the MA (200) H1 (0.6210) moving average line and remains well below MA (200) H4 (0.6330) on the four-hour chart. Based on the above, it is probably worth following the southern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains below MA (200) H1, if necessary, it is worth looking for entry points to sell.
However, it is worth noting that the 14-day relative strength index (RSI (14) on D1) is below the level of 30, which signals a possible change in the direction of price movement.
Resistance levels are at: 0.6205-10, 0.6240, 0.6290-6300
Support levels are at: 0.6130, 0.6100, 0.6000
The main scenario for the pair's progress suggests a breakout of the session low of 0.6130 and a possible decline to the psychological level of 0.6100
An alternative scenario for the pair's advance implies a breakout of the resistance of 0.6205-10 (Jan 10 high) and there may be an increase to 0.6240 (Jan 8 high)
