The USD/JPY pair dropped to a monthly low
Yesterday, the USD/JPY pair mostly declined from 156.75 to 155.75 and closed the session near the price of 156.10. Today, the pair started trading with a slight increase to 156.40 and then sharply decreased to 155.00, almost reaching the monthly low of 154.75 recorded earlier this week. On the hourly chart, USD/JPY is testing the MA (200) H1 moving average line (156.25) and the MA 200 H4 line (155.80) on the four-hour chart. Based on the above, it is probably worth continuing to stick to the northern direction in trading and until the pair is fixed below the MA 200 H1, it is necessary to look for entry points to buy at the end of the correction.
Resistance levels are at: 155.75, 156.40, 156.75
Support levels are at: 154.75, 155.15, 151.80
The main scenario for the pair's advance implies a breakout of the resistance of 155.75 (Jan 23 low), an increase to the session high of 156.40, and then, maybe, to 156.75 (January 23 high)
An alternative scenario assumes a breakout of the support of 154.75 (Jan 21 low) and there may be a decline to 155.15 (Dec 17 low)
