Japan stock market on Tuesday closed with great losses: indexes fell to 4-months lows. The reason was the announcement of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke who is concerned about price pressure & said that further tightening may be needed. It means that cost of credits will raise again on the largest Japan export market –USA.

Significant losses showed Nissan Motor Co. And Sony Corp.

The European shares also fell, and tested 2 weeks lows. The main outsiders were Anglo American Plc, Nokia Oyj and UBS AG.

Anglo, the second biggest in the world extracting company, fell 5%; BHP Billiton - 4.5%; Vedanta Resources Plc, - the largest manufacturer of copper and zinc in India, - 8.9%.

Bank sector also was under pressure, including UBS (-3.3%), BNP Paribas SA (-2.1%). The largest outsider in technological sector became Nokia (-4.1%).

Big losses in semiconductor group showed Infineon Technologies AG (-3.8%).

Wall Street also fell on Tuesday, however Dow could return above psychologically important benchmark 11,000 by the end of session. Absence of the important economic data allowed investors to focus on Fed members performances.

Shares of Alcoa and Boeing were among Dow components losers, however Coca Cola and Kimberly Clark rose.

Stocks of building sector, sensitive to interest rates, also were under pressure.

Hewlett-Packard reconsidered the forecast about profit for the second quarter with increase for all fiscal year, however company shares continued to decrease.

IBM shares rose after the company declared intention to invest nearby $6 billion in India during 3 years.

Shares of auto-giant General Motors fell after executive director Rick Wagoner company declared to shareholders that the company will have problems in costs reduction on $1 billion in current year.

Oil prices closed above $72.00 per barrel.
