Stock market: Wednesday results.[E]

On Wednesday the Japanese stock market closed with serious losses as investors show concern Fed will move itтАЩs benchmark rate and hint on further tightening. Possible demand drop on the largest external market led to extra pressure upon the Japanese exporters, such as Honda Motor Co. and Fanuc Ltd.
Topix and Nikkei 225 suffered higher losses since June 13 when a half year drop was seen. Honda lost 2.5%. Last year 55% of companys sales went to North America.
The industrial production giant Fanuc lost 2.6% and Toyota Motor Corp. -1.9%.

EU stock markets showed no certain tendency. EU stocks traded mix on speculations M&A. Oil-extracting gains compensated Mining drop and the market uncertainty before FOMC meeting.
As a result FTSE 100, the huge share of which contain energy companies, closed in pluses.
Oil grew and WTI futures climbed above $72.00/barrel on speculations reduction of deliveries and gasoline demand increase during summer holidays. Carmaking felt after General Motors warned that the company can not realize the sales annual plan as interest rates continue lift. Mining decreased in a light of materials dropped after data on coppers demand reduction from China.

The Wall Street closed Wednesday in black.
Besides main stock indexes started day with drops. Investors were vigilant and held moves ahead FOMC decision.
Active AXP, GE, and DIS sales lead to extra pressure on Dow which has already lost 1.1% yesterday. Nasdaq suspend greater losses as technology looks not attractive to the investors. Serious offers could be seen in a semi-conductor group. PHLX Semi Sector Index lost 15% beginning with this quarter.
Nike lost 3% after the biggest athletic-shoe maker reported its first profit decline in more than three years.
J. Crew retailer climbed 24% on its IPO day in NYSE. IPO price exceeded expected $20/share.
General Motors showed wining gains. Shares added 1.3% after recent 7% drop caused by GM representatives message on profits reduction this year versus prior year data.
Nasdaq outpaced blue chips with greater losses as technology looks not attractive to the investors. Serious offers could be seen in a semi-conductor group
Mainly this was lead by rating drop of such companies as ALTR -2.3%, MRVL -4.2%, XLNX -2.4%, and also Rambus intention that mistakes at options calculations can lead to the financial reporting revision.
Technology reversal and more active energy sales supported market by the closing time.
Intel gain on 2.9% could cover up semi-conducting losses. Besides, extra support was brought by software manufacturers strengthening. As a result main indexes closed in gains.
Trade volumes: NYSE 1.22 bln. shr; Nasdaq - 1.37 bln.
