GBP/USD is trading near a new 2-month high
Today, the GBP/USD pair is trading in the range of 1.2625-90, having reached a new 2-month high. On the hourly chart, the pair remains above the MA (200) H1 moving average line (1.2580) and above MA (200) H4 (1.2410) on the four-hour chart. Based on the above, it is probably worth sticking to the northern direction in trading and as long as the pair remains above the MA 200 H1, it is necessary to look for entry points to buy. Technically speaking, the resistance of 1.2690 has kept the GBP/USD from further growth so far. If this level is passed, the pair may rise to 1.2730. The lower boundary of 1.2550 represents a strong support level.
Resistance levels are: 1.2690, 1.2730, 1.2790
Support levels are: 1.2625, 1.2550-60, 1.2435
The main scenario for the pair's advance suggests a breakout of the session high of 1.2690 and there may be an increase to 1.2730 (Dec 17-19 high)
An alternative scenario implies a breakout of support at 1.2625 (Feb 21 low, session low) and there may be a decline to 1.2550-60 (Feb 14 and 19 lows)
