USD/JPY shows steady upward movement
On the hourly chart, the USD/JPY pair shows a steady upward movement after breaking above the level of 144.20 and the moving average of MA (200) H1, which confirms the recovery of bullish momentum. The price has firmly consolidated above the key resistance of 145.00 and is now approaching the next resistance zone in the area of 145.95. In case of further growth, the target may shift to 146.30. The MACD indicator confirms the strength of the current momentum, as the histogram is actively growing in the positive zone, indicating the dominance of buyers. At the same time, support is now at 144.20, and its breakdown downwards may increase pressure on the pair again, opening the way to 143.30. The current behavior of the price and indicators indicates the priority of the upward scenario, especially if the pair manages to gain a foothold above 145.95.
Resistance levels are: 145.95, 146.30, 148.05
Support levels are: 144.20, 143.30, 142.70
The main scenario for the pair's advance assumes a breakout of the resistance of 145.95 (June 2 high) and there may be an increase to 146.30 (May 29 high).
An alternative scenario suggests a decline to 144.20 (July 4 low) and then, maybe, to 143.30 (July 2 low)
