Gold drops fifth straight day
Gold continues to drop fifth straight day against the dollar strengthening. The dollar index for the six major world currencies has increased since the beginning of the day at 0.85%, rising above the level of 80.8 points.
Today, the Italian government has successfully implemented a 6-month treasury bills in the amount of 9 billion euros ($ 11.8 billion). The average yield on them was 3.25% per annum, which exactly half that at the November auction.
